2019年2月28日，名为"Deltarune"的第一章演示版通过免费数字下载的形式在任天堂 Switch 和 PlayStation 4平台上发布。[6][7]

2021年9月17日，名为"Deltarune 第一&二章"的演示版在 Steam 和 itch.io 平台上线[8] (这是"Deltarune"这两章内容首次在这些平台上发布)。

Deltarune 第一&二章 LTS 版本

在第三章和第四章的开发历史中，"Deltarune"所使用的游戏引擎"GameMaker"发布了一个名为game_change的新功能，旨在允许从单个 GameMaker 游戏中启动单独的游戏文件。这使得"Deltarune"后续章节的开发得以进行，同时又不会影响到之前的章节(意味着在开发后续章节时无需对之前的章节进行重新测试)，因为每个章节都是独立的。 YoYo Games (GameMaker 的开发者)特意添加了game_change功能，以便将其应用于"Deltarune"。"Deltarune"第一章和第二章的演示版的 PC 版本被用于测试这一新功能。[2]

2024年11月25日，Steam(通过 Steam 测试版)和 Itch.io 版的"Deltarune"第一&二章更新使用了 GameMaker LTS 中的game_change功能。[11]此演示版本被称为"Deltarune 第一&二章 LTS 版本"。[11][12][13][14]LTS 演示版本共发布了三个版本：版本一于11月25日发布[11]，版本二于11月26日发布[13]，版本三于12月6日发布[14]。

LTS 版本与之前的演示版相比，在游戏玩法方面基本没有变化，因为它是用于测试 game_change 的。保存数据采用了不同的结构，因此在 LTS 版本中创建的保存文件无法在演示版的较旧版本中加载。

LTS 第三个版本对暗影水晶的追踪方式进行了更改，使得 Jevil 的暗影水晶只能在第二章城堡小镇的悬崖底部获取，前提是 Jevil 在第一章的某个保存文件中已被击败，并且该保存文件位于相同的保存文件槽中——此前，无论 Jevil 是在哪个保存文件槽中被击败的，都能获取暗影水晶。此外，在章节选择界面中添加了一个网格，显示了哪些保存文件槽已获取了哪些暗影水晶，并且章节选择界面还进行了其他一些改动。

任天堂 Switch 上的更新

2025年5月21日，原版"Deltarune 第一&二章"演示版从 Nintendo eShop 中下架，转而作为"Deltarune"付费版的演示版进行展示。[15] 这些演示的内容是相同的，不过2025版的演示是基于 LTS 版本制作的，因此其保存数据的结构有所不同，[16]此外在 LTS 版本中还做了其他一些改动(比如获取光明糖果所需的条件)。

对于已经在其电子商店库中拥有该软件的用户来说，仍可以重新下载旧版演示版。[17]在主屏幕上，旧的演示版本被命名为"DELTARUNE 第一&二章"，而新的演示版本则被命名为"DELTARUNE 第一&二章 Demo"，并且新的演示版本在游戏图标右下角有一个"Demo"标志。[18]

导入保存数据

第一章至第一&二章

在 Steam 和 itch.io 上可获取的"Deltarune 第一&二章"演示版以及原本的"Deltarune 第一章"SURVEY_PROGRAM演示版使用相同的存档数据位置，会自动使用另一个版本生成的存档数据。这是因为该游戏的所有版本都使用位于电脑"AppData"文件夹中的"Deltarune"文件夹来存储存档数据，所以在 PC 上无需进行特殊的存档数据转移操作。

然而，尽管在SURVEY_PROGRAM中创建的存档文件与"DELTARUNE 第一&二章"兼容，但在"第一&二章"中创建的存档文件在使用SURVEY_PROGRAM打开时会显示一个狗挡墙错误屏幕。[19]这是因为更新的演示版本拥有内容不同的存档文件，而SURVEY_PROGRAM无法正确读取这些文件，原因是存在额外的内容。

在任天堂 Switch 和 PlayStation 4 平台上，名为"Deltarune"的第一章演示版已更新为"Deltarune 第一&二章"，并且保存的数据得以保留。

第一&二章演示版的完整游戏

从演示版中保存的数据可以转移到完整版游戏中。

在 PC 版本中，无需进行任何特殊操作即可将演示版中的存档文件转移到完整版中。完整版会直接从与试玩版相同的存档数据文件夹中读取数据。[20]

在 Linux 系统(包括在 Steam Deck 上的 SteamOS)中，由于游戏是通过 Proton 运行的，因此演示版的游戏存档无法被完整版所使用。不过，可以手动将演示版目录中的存档数据复制到完整版的目录中，以便完整版能够使用该存档数据。[21][22]

在游戏机版本中，当第一次启动"Deltarune"的完整版本时，如果系统上存在演示版的存档，玩家将被提示将演示版的存档导入完整游戏。这个提示只会出现在完整版本的"Deltarune"没有存档的情况下——如果完整版本的存档已经存在，从演示版中导入存档的唯一方法是首先删除完整版本的存档。[23] 此外，由于存档与游戏机上的用户账户相关联，因此在演示版和完整版中必须使用同一个账户，才能导入保存数据。[24]

PlayStation 4和PlayStation 5版本的"Deltarune"可以从PlayStation 4版本的"Deltarune 第一&二章"演示版中导入保存文件。任天堂Switch和任天堂Switch 2版本的"Deltarune"可以从任天堂Switch版本的"Deltarune 第一&二章"演示版中导入保存文件。[25] 从 1.02 版本开始，在导入任天堂 Switch 或任天堂 Switch 2 上的演示存档数据时，由于任天堂 Switch 上有两个演示版，如果同时存在2021版和2025版的演示版，并且都有存档，玩家将可以选择导入哪一版演示版的存档。[26]

奖杯只能在 PlayStation 的完整版游戏中获得——即使从试玩版中导入存档数据也能解锁所有奖杯，但前提是这些奖杯原本应在试玩版的存档文件中获得。要在第一章和第二章中获得奖杯，唯一的途径就是在完整版中完整地通关这些章节。[27]
