2019年2月28日，名為"Deltarune"的第一章演示版透過免費數字下載的形式在任天堂 Switch 和 PlayStation 4平台上發布。[6][7]

2021年9月17日，名為"Deltarune 第一&二章"的演示版在 Steam 和 itch.io 平台上線[8] (這是"Deltarune"這兩章內容首次在這些平台上發布)。

2021 年 9 月 23 日，任天堂 Switch 和 PlayStation 4 平台上"Deltarune"第一章的演示版已更新為"Deltarune 第一&二章"。[9][10] 由於這是對原演示版的更新，因此在更新過程中保存的數據得以保留。

Deltarune 第一&二章 LTS 版本

在第三章和第四章的開發歷史中，"Deltarune"所使用的遊戲引擎"GameMaker"發布了一個名為game_change的新功能，旨在允許從單個 GameMaker 遊戲中啟動單獨的遊戲文件。這使得"Deltarune"後續章節的開發得以進行，同時又不會影響到之前的章節(意味著在開發後續章節時無需對之前的章節進行重新測試)，因為每個章節都是獨立的。 YoYo Games (GameMaker 的開發者)特意添加了game_change功能，以便將其應用於"Deltarune"。"Deltarune"第一章和第二章的演示版的 PC 版本被用於測試這一新功能。[2]

2024年11月25日，Steam(透過 Steam 測試版)和 Itch.io 版的"Deltarune"第一&二章更新使用了 GameMaker LTS 中的game_change功能。[11]此演示版本被稱為"Deltarune 第一&二章 LTS 版本"。[11][12][13][14]LTS 演示版本共發布了三個版本：版本一於11月25日發布[11]，版本二於11月26日發布[13]，版本三於12月6日發布[14]。

LTS 版本與之前的演示版相比，在遊戲玩法方面基本沒有變化，因為它是用於測試 game_change 的。保存數據採用了不同的結構，因此在 LTS 版本中創建的保存文件無法在演示版的較舊版本中加載。

LTS 第三個版本對暗影水晶的追蹤方式進行了更改，使得 Jevil 的暗影水晶只能在第二章城堡小鎮的懸崖底部獲取，前提是 Jevil 在第一章的某個保存文件中已被擊敗，並且該保存文件位於相同的保存文件槽中——此前，無論 Jevil 是在哪個保存文件槽中被擊敗的，都能獲取暗影水晶。此外，在章節選擇界面中添加了一個網格，顯示了哪些保存文件槽已獲取了哪些暗影水晶，並且章節選擇界面還進行了其他一些改動。

任天堂 Switch 上的更新

2025年5月21日，原版"Deltarune 第一&二章"演示版從 Nintendo eShop 中下架，轉而作為"Deltarune"付費版的演示版進行展示。[15] 這些演示的內容是相同的，不過2025版的演示是基於 LTS 版本製作的，因此其保存數據的結構有所不同，[16]此外在 LTS 版本中還做了其他一些改動(比如獲取光明糖果所需的條件)。

對於已經在其電子商店庫中擁有該軟體的用戶來說，仍可以重新下載舊版演示版。[17]在主螢幕上，舊的演示版本被命名為"DELTARUNE 第一&二章"，而新的演示版本則被命名為"DELTARUNE 第一&二章 Demo"，並且新的演示版本在遊戲圖標右下角有一個"Demo"標誌。[18]

導入保存數據

第一章至第一&二章

在 Steam 和 itch.io 上可獲取的"Deltarune 第一&二章"演示版以及原本的"Deltarune 第一章"SURVEY_PROGRAM演示版使用相同的存檔數據位置，會自動使用另一個版本生成的存檔數據。這是因為該遊戲的所有版本都使用位於電腦"AppData"文件夾中的"Deltarune"文件夾來存儲存檔數據，所以在 PC 上無需進行特殊的存檔數據轉移操作。

然而，儘管在SURVEY_PROGRAM中創建的存檔文件與"DELTARUNE 第一&二章"兼容，但在"第一&二章"中創建的存檔文件在使用SURVEY_PROGRAM打開時會顯示一個狗擋牆錯誤螢幕。[19]這是因為更新的演示版本擁有內容不同的存檔文件，而SURVEY_PROGRAM無法正確讀取這些文件，原因是存在額外的內容。

在任天堂 Switch 和 PlayStation 4 平台上，名為"Deltarune"的第一章演示版已更新為"Deltarune 第一&二章"，並且保存的數據得以保留。

第一&二章演示版的完整遊戲

從演示版中保存的數據可以轉移到完整版遊戲中。

在 PC 版本中，無需進行任何特殊操作即可將演示版中的存檔文件轉移到完整版中。完整版會直接從與試玩版相同的存檔數據文件夾中讀取數據。[20]

在 Linux 系統(包括在 Steam Deck 上的 SteamOS)中，由於遊戲是透過 Proton 運行的，因此演示版的遊戲存檔無法被完整版所使用。不過，可以手動將演示版目錄中的存檔數據複製到完整版的目錄中，以便完整版能夠使用該存檔數據。[21][22]

在遊戲機版本中，當第一次啟動"Deltarune"的完整版本時，如果系統上存在演示版的存檔，玩家將被提示將演示版的存檔導入完整遊戲。這個提示只會出現在完整版本的"Deltarune"沒有存檔的情況下——如果完整版本的存檔已經存在，從演示版中導入存檔的唯一方法是首先刪除完整版本的存檔。[23] 此外，由於存檔與遊戲機上的用戶帳戶相關聯，因此在演示版和完整版中必須使用同一個帳戶，才能導入保存數據。[24]

PlayStation 4和PlayStation 5版本的"Deltarune"可以從PlayStation 4版本的"Deltarune 第一&二章"演示版中導入保存文件。任天堂Switch和任天堂Switch 2版本的"Deltarune"可以從任天堂Switch版本的"Deltarune 第一&二章"演示版中導入保存文件。[25] 從 1.02 版本開始，在導入任天堂 Switch 或任天堂 Switch 2 上的演示存檔數據時，由於任天堂 Switch 上有兩個演示版，如果同時存在2021版和2025版的演示版，並且都有存檔，玩家將可以選擇導入哪一版演示版的存檔。[26]

獎盃只能在 PlayStation 的完整版遊戲中獲得——即使從試玩版中導入存檔數據也能解鎖所有獎盃，但前提是這些獎盃原本應在試玩版的存檔文件中獲得。要在第一章和第二章中獲得獎盃，唯一的途徑就是在完整版中完整地通關這些章節。[27]
