S.POTION

来自Deltarune Wiki

S.POTION is a consumable in Chapter 5 of Deltarune. It is obtained by selecting "Cure Poison" when interacting with the Wafer in Castle Town. This converts S.POISON in Kris' Inventory and Storage to S. POTION. It heals one party member for 200HP.

Flavor text

  • "Still kinda burns." [When using it on Susie]
  • "Um, is it caffeinated?" [When using it on Ralsei]
  • "This... is expired!" [When using it on Noelle]

Tips

  • As of Chapter 5, it is the highest healing single-target consumable item in the game that can be obtained repeatedly. Because of this, it is recommended to actually buy at least a few S.POISONs from Spamton in Chapter 2 to convert them to S.POTIONs in Chapter 5. It is also one of the cheapest, as S.POISON can be purchased for as low as 50 D$. The only issue with this strategy is taking up the relatively limited storage space available in Chapter 2, and carrying them all the way to Chapter 5.

Trivia

  • The S.POTION is likely a brand tie-in item that Spamton had prior to losing access to his mysterious benefactor. The S.POTION states its collobarating with a certain car, and Spamton is associated with a company called "Big Shot Autos".
  • The S.POTION shares its name with the advertised item in Spamton's shop. This is a trait shared with the Frayed Bowtie, which is sold as the B.ShotBowtie, an item found in Swatch's shop.
  • Despite being cured, the adverse effect/taste implied by Susie and Noelle may be in reference to the discomfort some have when drinking energy drinks due to their high caffeine content, especially since those who are underage are advised against drinking them.
    • Noelle may also be noticing the actual expiration date (which would not change in the curing of S.POISON to S.POTION) as opposed to tasting it and noticing it having gone sour.
